The Open floor plan has a combination living room / dining room. There is a gas fire place and french doors that lead onto a deck that sweeps around three sides of the cabin. The large deck provides a Texas Smoking barbecue and picnic table. The Deck steps down to your private hot tub at one corner. This cabin was originally built in 1913 as a small fishing cabin for 5 men that came to the Olympic Peninsula a few times a year to share in thier love of the outdoors creating memories and fish stories that they took home to their families. Remodeled to 1700 sq. feet it is a special place that illicites a peace and is soothing to the spirit. To enter the cabin you cross a small foot bridge onto the covered front porch where you enter thru French doors. The large beams, timbers and old fashioned gas fireplace take you back to another time. Your senses are filled with memories of an earlier era and time when life was not so busy and places you may have visited in your childhood. Downstairs the open floor plan has a combination dining and living room, full bath, and Master Bedroom, There is a pass thru to the kitchen with a small breakfast bar and beyond the kitchen there is a mud room that leads onto the deck that sweeps around three sides of the house. The large private hot tub is set in the corner of the deck with views into the wetlands and gardens where an orchard is being planted and black tail deer cross over to feed and drink in the wee hours of the morning. A large charcoal barbecue, picnic table and garden chairs are provided for your enjoyment overlooking the front yard and fire pit. As you wind up the wooden stairs the skylights and large windows light up the rooms with views of forested land in every direction. The great room upstairs provides a sitting area for TV viewing, games, reading etc. There is also grandpa's old roll top desk with a small library and reading area for those that want to work, draw, read, or write. The second bath features a double stall shower with a bench. The Master Bedroom upstairs has a cathedral tongue and groove cedar ceiling with a casablanca fan and a large window overlooking the gardens, hot tub and fire pit. The Double bed in the great room makes it so this two bedroom, two bath can accommodate up to 6 people. Scott's Cabin is private and away from our other cottages. This cabin does not have the use of the fishing pond or row boat. The full kitchen includes a full size Refrigerator, Dishwasher, Microwave, Toaster, Coffee maker, and Electric Stove. Other amenities include a TV, CD player, Phone, VCR, Hair dryer, Iron and a video, book, and CD library along with board games and puzzles. All dishes and linens are provided.
